Laura Salamin (Age 14, Year 11- Swiss/French) “I did my GCSE French a year early and achieved a grade ‘A’. I really enjoyed learning French. It is my first language and Shimna College has given me the opportunity to increase my knowledge of written French and I now feel I can read books in French and write well to my family in French.” Karl Graham (Year 14) “I feel that studying French at Shimna helped me to achieve full marks in my English Literature AS course, as learning the fundamentals of another language helped me appreciate my own language, as well as the culture and heritage behind it.
