Students follow the Key Stage 3 curriculum for drama within their English lessons in Years 8, 9 and 10.
The current Year 12, GCSE class are studying "Blood Brothers" and in March are going to the Grand Opera House in Belfast to see the current tour from the West End, to aid in their understanding of the text for their written examination in June. For their assessment the class has chosen a play entitled ‘Cagebirds’, written by David Campton. The play is set as either a bird-cage, in reference to the literal entrapment of birds as pets, or can be seen as a group of women enclosed within an institution unable to cope with the world outside.
Our Drama Society also presents regular shows, such as last year's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Shake, Ripple and Roll" the year before.
